 Hello, yuletide person! Thanks for reading my letter, thanks even more if you decide to write anything for me - it’s really gratefully received. Regardless, I hope your yuletide brings excellent gifts and enthusiastic reactions to anything you write.

Likes:

Het/Slash/Femslash/Poly. 

Kink in general, particular with formality. Most hard kinks are fine, but I’m not super fond of vore or strong mutilation. 

Clever-cleverness, wittiness, plots-within-plots, meta references. 

Dislikes (as opposed to DNWs): I’m not hugely fond of crossovers from vastly different media, of the type where the characters appear unchanged (Classic example: The TARDIS materialising on the bridge of the Enterprise). Retellings, thematic influences, subtle little references, any of that is absolutely fine.

If you could avoid first person present tense, that would be great, but anything can be carried off with enough brio and style.

It worries me how current much of this book feels. It's a formative book for me, and I love it (even if I'm perhaps a little uncertain about the ending). I'm really interested in Scott-Astbury. How evil is he? How much of his odd persona is an act?

What is this history between Idris and Scott-Astbury? What happens to him after the events of the book?

Fandom: Innkeeper Chronicles (Illona Andrews)

I love this series, and Sweep of the Blade particularly. Anything with vampire society, Helen being a rassa in the grass, Arland being ... just solid. I'd particularly love some Marshal/Maven scheme/shenanigans.

I saw the Ring cycle for the first time this year, and loved it. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Gotterdammerung, mainly because of how unrepentantly, Shakespearean-ly, evil Hagan is. Anything with Hagen the horrible would be amazing - perhaps some evilfamilyfun with Alberich, maybe something awful with Brunnhilde...

There's definitely kink potential here, if you feel like it.

Character exception: You don't have to include the dog, but it would be great if you did.

I'd love to know that Rita was OK, that the Judge was ... in some way rejuvenated. I'd really love anything that feels vibrant and engaged and thoughtful in a way that the film does - there's an intensity about it that I just adore.

Anything with Valentine doing modelling is also cool.

I don't mind which characters you include, I just want Jackson Lamb being ... all Jackson Lamb. Happy for case fic, pre-canon (I'm up to date with TV, please don't grossly spoil from book-knowledge) fic, young Jackson, character studies, weird and off-putting sexy scenes...
